Conquering Rejection

Life's challenges are always presenting themselves.  Old challenges raise themselves from the dead if you allow them and new challenges are just looking to jump into your path.  One of life's biggest challenges for me was dealing with rejection.  As a young person I felt rejected and as an emerging adult I wallowed in it.  It was only until recently did I bury the hatchet with rejection and kick it to the curb.  The challenge, I found, is not in the rejection itself, but rather in the root cause of not accepting of one's self.  When one rejects themselves first they are more perceptive of rejection that comes from others.  I found that by first loving myself  all rejection dissolves.  Being rejected by others no longer bears weight in your life when you have set your resolve to accept who you are.
